Why Replace a Worn BMW Engine Mount?

A deteriorated engine mount can allow excessive engine movement and transmit more vibration into the cabin. Common signs of a worn engine mount may include:

Excessive vibration while idling
Increased engine movement
Clunking or knocking during acceleration
Vibration when selecting Drive or Reverse
Increased drivetrain movement
Unusual vibration through the steering wheel or cabin

Replacing a damaged engine mount helps restore the intended relationship between the engine and chassis and can improve overall driving refinement.
